11/09/2010

We met an American artist for drinks tonight.  He is living here in Cesky Krumlov with his wife.  Christian and Jennida got along famously as they seem to come from the same school of thought on video (and more so film).  We spent the evening in a theater cafĂ©.  Its bathrooms reside downstairs past a long “theater-like” stair well with marble steps and past a smoker’s lounge that exuded “elegance”.  We were joined later by a fellow English speaker and friend of Christian, a Canadian who teaches English in some of the local schools.  Again it was good to get out and meet some new people.  The conversation was nice and the atmosphere was comfortable.  Later we stopped by a small bar and were introduced to some very very delicious rum, aged quite well and very smooth.

I am really tired of this breathing thing (asthma) I got a fresh new set of bed sheets and pillows.  Hopefully I can rest better with traditional bedding.  Even with Jennida across the room with the down far away from me I fear that I am living in a sealed environment.  The windows are closed more frequently now that the temperature is dipping.  I am trapped with my nemesis.

Most of my day, now that I have finished all of my commercial work, electronic sleuthing and eating different types of sausages, has been diverted to re examining my blog and tightening up loose ends I created several weeks and months ago.
My thoughts had been to prepare a blog that provided both visual and audio stimuli that both gave the reader a greater insight as to the daily goings on both in the world of resland but also an on going document of ongoing work in progress.  This point has proved particularly problematic in that audio seems to demand video or some sort of visual in order to be uploaded to a service such as Vimeo and Youtube.  The processing of video then becomes time consuming in the construction and rendering of said video.  If I shoot video then by defacto I have my audio and visual already paired, the context is clear and one can progress, however the simple recording of sound requires the cutting up and excerpting of the clips and then trying to find some sort of aesthetic visual to accompany said audio that is yet still subordinate.  In short I need to find some way of uploading pure audio that then can be streamed to a blog such as mine.
All in all the task set before me have been to assemble all the small clips and tasty bits that have been missing and fit them into the pre existing blog structure so that “this” is more…appealing…more informationaly rich.    Yet isn’t so memory intensive that it locks up your computer.
